Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy

Chiropractic Therapy is a non-invasive, drug-free approach to treating musculoskeletal issues, including, but not limited to, joint pain, neck pain, back pain, headaches, shoulder and hip pain. Focusing on the spine, but also working with joints and muscles, chiropractic therapy aims to correct the body’s alignment to promote general well-being, pain reduction, improved mobility and structural function.

Treatments, Therapies, Methods & Tools

The Following is a List of Some of the Techniques We Use to Help Our Patients

Diversified Technique

The Diversified Technique is the most widely used chiropractic technique, with an estimated 96% of all chiropractors using it with 70 % of patients. The method has three primary purposes: restoring the spine’s alignment, repairing joint dysfunction, and promoting mobility and movement. The Diversified Technique increases range of motion and realigns misplaced joints and bones using precise hands-on thrusts.

Percussor Therapy

Percussor therapy is an effective method to help with muscle, tendon, and ligament problems. It addresses pain by delivering waves of percussive impulses into the muscles, joints, and fascia without the need for pressure. The waves release fascial obstructions and stimulate blood flow into the targeted area to reduce spasming and promote healing.

Athrostim Adjusting

We also use an instrument called the Arthrostim instrument. This is another gentle force instrument that delivers targeted adjustments that stimulate the neural pathways in problem areas. The low-impact nature of these adjustments makes them particularly useful for individuals who have recently been involved in an accident and are experiencing acute pain. It is also a useful approach for pregnant women, children, the elderly, and individuals with bone density conditions, including osteoporosis.

Drop Table

The drop table technique is a gentle chiropractic method often used to treat lower back, mid-back, and neck pain without twisting or forceful thrusting. The chiropractor uses a special table with sections that can be lowered to allow gravity to assist in completing an adjustment initiated with gentle force.

Graston Technique

The Graston Technique, otherwise known as IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation), is a therapy in which a practitioner runs smooth metal tools across the skin and muscles to stimulate the fascia and trigger blood flow to affected areas. The process helps break up scar tissue and heals soft tissue conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis.
